Dinero: They take cash, plastic and check.
Atmosphere: Is there a french phrase for "cute and cozy"? The cafe is just so. The room is filled with tables for two that can be easily pushed together to accomodate a large party. The noise is minimal so it's perfect for a lunch time date! The bathroom was super clean and roomy. The building is a little bit run down and there could be better lighting.
Customer Service: The staff are friendly and down to earth. The service was prompt, even during a busy lunchtime.
Comida: Or should we say Alimentaire. This is a french bakery and cafe serving salads, sandwiches, soup and a variety of breakfast dishes. This includes a full pastry bar that is tres delicieux (what is it about french that makes you want to write it in italics? Oui? Non?)
Esmer ordered the 1/2 roast beef sandwich with the french onion soup:
Mais...Oui? |
Esmer: "I love how they use Muenster Cheese!" Carrie: "What is 'monster' cheese?" |
Carrie ordered La Pan Bagnat- a yummy french dish popular in Nice, France (oh google, how you make us sound smart and well read!).
That is one roll of french goodness |
For dessert, we each ordered a croissant. Or, we might have ordered these while we were waiting for our lunch. You choose to believe what you want :).
Esmer picked the Almond croissant:
"Heaven, thy name is almond croissant" |
Carrie chose a chocolate croissant.

After:
Need we say more? |
Caution: 1. Chocolate croissants do funny things to people. They can cause irrepressible giggling, and chortling. And you may want to switch nationalities afterwards.
